at the Center for Sports Rehabilitation and Active Living in El Dorado Hills

El Dorado Hills, CA (December 22, 2025) — At an invitation-only event hosted by the Marshall Foundation for Community Health on Wednesday, December 17, Marshall unveiled its new ZeroG® 3D robotic rehabilitation system. This revolutionary technology, the first of its kind in use west of Salt Lake City, has been made possible through a generous philanthropic gift to the foundation by Robert and Star Pepper.
“When we first learned about Marshall, we were impressed with the staff and the culture of service and innovation that comes from the most senior leadership,” said the Peppers. “Helping to bring this equipment to Marshall was an opportunity to enhance the health and well-being of people in El Dorado County and beyond. When you see the face of someone who has been impacted, who has been able to push themselves to the limit in their recovery because of the difference the ZeroG makes … it puts a smile on our faces.”
The ZeroG® 3D rehabilitation system is an innovative robotic therapy device which utilizes a dynamic overhead harness to support patients, enabling them to practice walking, balance, mobility, and daily tasks safely, in a large 3D space with unmatched freedom of movement. It is a significant advancement in rehabilitation and recovery from stroke, brain and spinal cord injury, orthopedic issues, and neurological conditions.

“We are profoundly grateful for the generosity of Robert and Star,” said Sol Nisbet, Chair of the Marshall Foundation for Community Health. “Their gift represents an extraordinary and visionary investment in the recovery and independence of patients throughout our region—from Georgetown to Folsom, and beyond. It will be a transformational tool in helping Marshall’s teams return their patients to the active lifestyle we know they desire and deserve.”

Located in Marshall’s new 25,000-square-foot state-of-the-art El Dorado Hills facility, the Center for Sports Rehabilitation and Active Living includes sports medicine, orthopedics, and physical therapy and is located directly adjacent to Marshall’s walk-in orthopedic clinic.
